Dr Jacob de Looze

Dr Jacob de Looze is a dual-qualified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon providing specialist care for patients across Brisbane and Ipswich. He is dedicated to delivering safe, evidence-based treatment for a wide range of oral and facial conditions, ensuring patients receive the care they need, when they need it.

After completing his medical degree at the University of Newcastle, Dr de Looze undertook five years of hospital training with a focus on surgery and emergency medicine, including a year working in major hospitals in the United Kingdom. He later returned to Australia to complete his dental degree in Queensland, before undertaking the four-year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training program, which provided him with broad experience across major hospitals throughout the country.

Committed to ongoing learning and innovation, Dr de Looze has completed post-fellowship training in Head and Neck Oncology and Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) Replacement Surgery. Through his public hospital appointments, he is also actively involved in the training of future surgeons.

In public practice, Dr de Looze manages complex facial fractures and soft tissue trauma, head and neck cancer, corrective jaw surgery, facial reconstruction and skin cancer management. In private practice, he provides the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery, including dental extractions, bone grafting and dental implant procedures, performed under local or general anaesthetic.
