Clinical Haematologist

Dr Karthik Nath is an experienced Clinical Haematologist who combines deep scientific knowledge with a compassionate, patient-focused approach to care. He is dedicated to helping people living with blood disorders feel supported and informed at every stage of their treatment, using the latest research and therapies to achieve the best possible outcomes.

After completing his Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (Honours) degrees at the University of Queensland, Dr Nath began his medical career at Princess Alexandra Hospital. He went on to complete specialist training through Metro South Health Service, earning dual fellowships in Haematology and Haematopathology at The Townsville Hospital and the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.

Driven by a passion for research and innovation, Dr Nath completed a PhD in Lymphoma Biology at the University of Queensland’s Faculty of Medicine, supported by the prestigious Leukaemia Foundation / HSANZ Scholarship. He further advanced his training through a clinical fellowship at Icon Cancer Centre, followed by an international fellowship with the Parker Institute for Cancer Immunotherapy at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) in New York.

Alongside his clinical work, he remains committed to research into cellular immunotherapy for blood cancers and has published his findings in leading journals such as Nature Medicine and Blood.
