Dr Brad Armstrong

Dr Brad Armstrong is a Brisbane-trained Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with a strong focus on pregnancy management and obstetric care. He began his medical training at the University of Queensland. He completed his final years of study in North Queensland before commencing specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Cairns Base Hospital in 2001. He achieved his specialist qualification in 2009 after working in hospitals across Queensland, from Brisbane to the Torres Strait.

In 2009, Dr Armstrong opened his private practice and quickly established a reputation for patient-centred care. He was the first private obstetrician in Brisbane to introduce postnatal home visits by midwives for his patients. Soon after, he helped establish the maternity unit at Greenslopes Private Hospital and co-founded Greenslopes Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Brisbane’s most comprehensive obstetric practice offering on-site allied health and specialist services.

Dr Armstrong delivered the first baby at Greenslopes Private Hospital in 2013 and was later appointed Director of Obstetrics at the maternity unit. Alongside his clinical practice, he is a senior lecturer at the University of Queensland and was awarded the Prof. John Pearn Medal for Excellence in Clinical Teaching in 2018.
